For an electrical professional ready to step into full site leadership, this permanent role at a major industrial process plant in Karratha, Western Australia, is a strong career move. You would own the electrical maintenance strategy, reliability outcomes and asset performance for the operation.
The plant will consider candidates who have progressed as a lead engineer or as an electrical superintendent, assessing each on experience. Long-term exposure to operating plant environments, structured maintenance and reliability engineering is the core of the brief.
It is a residential post in Karratha rather than a FIFO roster. Sponsorship is available for suitable international candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical maintenance strategy for the operation
- Own reliability and asset performance outcomes
- Manage and develop electrical teams, and coordinate contractors
- Oversee shutdown, turnaround and commissioning programmes
- Maintain rigorous safety and compliance standards
- Serve as the senior point of electrical accountability on site
- Support long-term asset planning at the plant
Requirements & Eligibility
- Extensive leadership experience in either electrical engineering or electrical maintenance
- Strong HV/MV/LV experience and strong industrial electrical systems experience
- Proven experience in plant maintenance, reliability and asset performance
- Leadership of electrical teams and contractors
- Shutdown / turnaround and commissioning delivery experience
- Strong safety and compliance knowledge
- Industry experience in a process plant, resources, energy, oil and gas, chemical, manufacturing or similar environment
- Candidates from major fixed-plant operations, fertiliser, refinery, LNG, mineral processing, chemical, petrochemical, power generation or oil and gas are encouraged to apply
- Lead Engineer or Electrical Superintendent experience (both considered, depending on experience)
