Key Responsibilities
- Produce inventive, high-quality food in a kitchen that runs at pace
- Develop new menu items with the Head Chef and improve existing dishes
- Complete food preparation and cooking tasks efficiently and to a consistently high standard
- Uphold cleanliness, order and hygiene across the kitchen
- Provide excellent customer service with prompt responses to guest requests
- Assist with inventory management, ordering of kitchen supplies and compliance with all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years of experience in a Chef/Cook role within a similar hospitality setting
- Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Excellent knowledge of food safety practices
- Strong time management and multitasking skills for a busy kitchen
- Ability to contribute to a positive work culture as part of a team
- A passion for creating high-quality meals and improving the overall dining experience
