Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to a high professional standard
- Ensure uniform food quality, accurate portioning and consistent presentation
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene and cleaning protocols
- Contribute to inventory tasks such as stock control, ordering and rotation, and to minimising food waste
- Keep the kitchen environment clean, safe and systematically organised for efficient operations
- Function effectively within a busy team and assist with food preparation and service as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Previous professional experience as a cook or chef
- Good understanding of kitchen operations and of food safety practice
- Capability to prepare consistent, high-quality meals while staying reliable under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to live and work locally
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery preferred; relevant experience may be considered instead of formal qualifications; Food Safety Certificate preferred
