An Australian-owned infrastructure contractor serving carriers and prime contractors nationally is hiring a Telecommunications Field Engineer to own integration, commissioning and carrier acceptance across its project pipeline.
The work spans greenfield builds and brownfield co-locations, and it rewards a broad skill set: RF and Tx depth combined with rigging tickets and structural understanding. The company's wider scope (rigging, civil construction, structure upgrades and decommissioning) gives exposure to the full lifecycle of a site, with national travel to remote and metro locations.
The role is full-time direct employment rather than labour hire, under ANZSCO 313212. With approved Standard Business Sponsor status in the Skills in Demand programme (Subclass 482), the employer may consider suitably qualified overseas professionals on eligible visas, while Australian citizens, permanent residents and other Australians receive priority.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the integration, commissioning and carrier acceptance of RF and Tx systems across greenfield and brownfield sites
- Deliver carrier acceptance packs that conform to the carrier's standard
- Commission microwave dishes, RUs and outdoor cabinets after installation, along with antennas and feeders
- Contribute to structural rigging, including extensions, upgrades and face frames, together with the rigging crew as required
- Lead safe delivery through the HSE framework of the company or client (SWMS, permits, exclusion zones and rescue plans) and mobilise across Australia to metro and remote sites
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience in a telco Field Engineer role
- Expertise in RF and Tx integration, commissioning and carrier acceptance packs
- Rigging ticket (Intermediate or Advanced)
- Current EWP and Working at Heights
- Current First Aid
- Structural steelwork experience on telco towers; comfortable with remote-site travel and short-notice mobilisation
- Open QLD driver's licence, MR/HR and other tickets advantageous
