For a cook ready to step into a senior role, this full-time position at a busy country hotel pub in New South Wales is a clear move up. The kitchen is looking for a Senior Cook / Chef with solid experience across pan, grill and cold larder, someone who can back the Head Chef and develop the junior cooks on every shift.
The roster covers days, nights and weekends, and the job carries real responsibility for stock, hygiene, deliveries and menu input. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate. Applicants have to be already living in Australia and able to come in for a trial.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dishes to the menu guidelines and recipes, meeting the Head Chef's requirements
- Manage stock levels and drive wastage down
- Develop junior staff by demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Supervise kitchen attendants and apprentices while on shift
- Uphold kitchen and storage hygiene under food safety legislation, follow food handling procedures and escalate incidents to the Head Chef
- Assist with receiving and checking supplies to protect quality and correct storage
- Prepare food for special dietary needs and contribute to menu planning
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 5 years of hands-on pan and grill section experience
- Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery and a skills assessment for cook or chef
- Living in Australia and available to come in for a trial
- Flexible to cover days, nights and weekends
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
