The employer, an established hospitality and events group with venues in Sydney and Canberra, wants an experienced Restaurant Manager to take full operational charge of one of its best-known sites.
The venue's reputation rests on high tea, weddings and corporate events, so the role blends restaurant management with event delivery. You would build and develop the front-of-house team, shape service standards, and work with the General Manager, the events function and the kitchen. Commercial accountability, from revenue growth to cost control and compliance, is part of the brief.
The role is worked on nights and weekends, and sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day operations covering high tea, weddings, corporate functions and private events
- Build the front-of-house team through rostering, training and development
- Collaborate with the General Manager, events and kitchen to deliver every event smoothly
- Set high service standards, keep the venue well presented and manage guest feedback
- Grow revenue and control costs
- Manage compliance obligations, including WHS and RSA
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager or Events Manager in premium hospitality
- A warm, approachable personality and comfort engaging with guests and colleagues
- Confident, hands-on leadership, owning operations in full
- Excellent command of English, in speech and in writing
- Strong organisational ability and a sharp eye for detail
- Availability on nights and weekends
- Availability every weekend, on public holidays and through peak event periods
