Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments consistent with accepted nursing practice and standards
- Develop nursing care plans, implement them and evaluate the care delivered
- Liaise and consult with other health professionals
- Coordinate the care of patients within healthcare teams
- Deliver treatments, therapies and medications specified in care plans and monitor their effect
- Lead health promotion activities and contribute to patient education
- Provide supervision and coordination for Enrolled Nurses and other healthcare workers
- Maintain precise, accurate healthcare records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with current clinical standards in hospitals, community nursing, aged care and home care and with Work Health and Safety legislation, maintain infection control standards and report incidents and hazards promptly
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration, current
- Nursing qualification relevant for a Registered Nurse
- Experience in home care and in community nursing
- Full-time relevant experience of minimum one year's duration
- Current National Criminal History Check
- Current Working with Children Check together with NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current Manual Handling Certificate and Infection Control certificate
- Valid driver's licence
- Vaccinations for influenza and COVID-19 that are current
