Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured assessments of patients presenting to the emergency department
- Develop, implement and evaluate individual care plans
- Maintain safe, effective, patient-centred nursing practice in a high-paced unit
- Guide and support patients and their families throughout treatment
- Contribute as a member of the multidisciplinary emergency team
- Work rotating shifts covering evenings, nights and weekends
- Apply sound clinical reasoning to each care decision
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, or demonstrated eligibility for registration
- At least 2 years of post-graduate nursing experience
- Postgraduate qualification in emergency nursing, or an equivalent qualification
- Capability to deliver high-quality nursing care aligned with professional competency standards
- Strong critical thinking, communication and clinical decision-making, with the ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
