Key Responsibilities
- Practise safe, compassionate and evidence-based nursing in the ED, on the acute ward and in aged care
- Partner with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team through the full care cycle: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Step up as Nurse in Charge across ED (including triage), acute and aged care services
- Drive and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Build positive patient experiences
- Maintain sound clinical judgement under pressure
Requirements & Eligibility
- Registered Nurse holding current registration through AHPRA
- Confident, capable clinician suited to a rural healthcare environment
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Proven experience, or genuine willingness, as Nurse in Charge across ED (including triage), acute and aged care
- Patient-centred commitment backed by strong communication, clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Immunisation and screening for certain diseases as part of this Category A position
