For a Registered Nurse with general practice experience, this Practice Nurse position in Dubbo, New South Wales, is a strong long-term career step. It is a full-time, Monday to Friday role in a family general practice delivering comprehensive primary care, with the nurse widely relied upon for clinical operations and carrying out health assessments on home visits.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with the medical practitioner as services are delivered
- Run the treatment room, from stock levels to sterilisation and equipment upkeep
- Take part in educating patients
- Maintain infection control and WHS practice, and prepare the practice for accreditation standards
- Offer clinical leadership to other staff
- Manage patient triage
- Provide wound care and dressings
- Give childhood and adult immunisations and travel vaccinations
- Deliver corporate health checks, ECG, audiometry and spirometry
- Oversee chronic disease management and complete age-appropriate and Indigenous health assessments
- Manage the cold chain and run staff education
- Carry out health assessments on patient home visits
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration that is current, with the CPD points required to maintain it
- Basic Life Support / CPR certificate in date, or an equivalent
- Working With Children Check on file
- Multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills combined with strong written and verbal communication
- Certified Immuniser: seen as a strength
