For a Registered Nurse planning a long-term career in Australian aged care, this permanent role offers real clinical leadership. A recruitment agency is hiring for a 52-bed community residential facility in a small regional Queensland town, a little under two hours from Hervey Bay, and the position can begin immediately.
The role builds skills that carry well into senior aged care positions, including care planning, supervising care staff, AN-ACC funding knowledge and quality improvement work aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Sponsorship support may be available for eligible professionals already residing in Australia, with potential Subclass 407 or 485-related pathways, subject to individual eligibility and immigration requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of nursing care tailored to every resident's needs, including medication administration
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and respond promptly to changes in condition or medical emergencies
- Develop and review individualised care plans and oversee their implementation
- Supervise care staff and uphold high standards of care
- Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate effectively with residents, families and multidisciplinary professionals
- Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical policies, contributing to quality improvement and clinical reviews
- Pursue continuing professional development to keep clinical knowledge current
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum six months' RN experience in an aged care setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of AN-ACC funding and the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Intermediate computer skills with confidence in clinical documentation systems
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance together with a current National Criminal History Check
- Valid Queensland driver's licence
