The practice areas are person-centred care of senior residents, dementia nursing and clinical problem-solving, underpinned by working knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards. The organisation looks for strong communication and a motivated team player, and rosters the role over various shifts and days. Key Responsibilities
- Practise person-centred clinical nursing with the residents of the home
- Develop and apply dementia care skills with residents who have the condition
- Exercise clinical problem-solving in support of resident care
- Maintain a roster of various shifts
- Work across various days in cooperation with the team
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, full unrestricted
- Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Post-graduate applications are welcome
- Affinity and experience in working with residents with dementia, or alternatively willingness to gain experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent clinical problem-solving skills
- An excellent and highly motivated team player
- Availability to work various shifts across various days
- Vaccinated in line with the organisation's immunisation policy
- Vaccination to include a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza
- Willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Check
- Pre-employment medical assessment
