For a Registered Nurse ready to step up into shift leadership, this permanent full-time position in Coffs Harbour, NSW offers a clear move forward in career terms.
The employer is a not-for-profit aged care provider running a residential home on the New South Wales North Coast. You would combine direct clinical nursing with leading the shift, mentoring and supervising personal care staff, and you would report to the Care Manager. The roster covers mornings, afternoons and nights.
The role also carries a long-term angle: initial 482 sponsorship is available, with pathways to permanent residency for eligible applicants. Professionals who know the Aged Care Quality Standards and AN-ACC processes, and who can manage conflict calmly, will be well placed.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to best-practice nursing standards
- Lead shifts, coaching, supervising and guiding the personal care team
- Exercise clinical judgement to recognise and respond to residents' changing needs
- Develop trusted relationships with residents and families, supporting a positive, safe and inclusive environment
- Adhere to clinical, safety and organisational policies and procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent degree
- At least 2 years of professional nursing experience, ideally including aged care
- Knowledge of aged care legislation
- Familiarity with the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
- Strong clinical knowledge of ageing and associated health conditions
- Ability to coach, mentor and support care staff with confidence
- Strong communication, conflict-resolution and emotional-intelligence skills, a positive and collaborative approach, and competent IT skills
