This is a career-building role for an accountant who wants deeper exposure to tax and advisory work in Australia. A progressive, highly regarded boutique firm on the Brisbane city fringe is hiring a Junior or Intermediate Accountant into its Tax & Business Services team on a full-time basis.
The progression angle is clear. You will work closely with a Senior Manager, with ongoing mentoring, and the role widens into tax planning and business advisory as your experience grows. The firm serves a diverse client portfolio on fixed fees, without timesheets or traditional targets, so performance is judged on quality, efficiency and client results.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements across individual, company, trust and partnership clients
- Complete income tax returns and BAS for those clients
- Assist with taxation compliance work
- Provide support on general business services
- Liaise with the ATO, ASIC and other relevant authorities
- Collaborate with senior team members on quality outcomes while gaining tax planning and advisory exposure as you progress
Requirements & Eligibility
- A minimum of 18 months' Australian public practice accounting experience
- Experience held within a Tax & Business Services environment
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting relevant to the position
- Progress towards, or an interest in completing, the CA or CPA qualification
- Working experience with Xero or similar accounting software
- Strong communication skills together with excellent attention to detail
- A positive, motivated attitude and genuine commitment to developing your accounting career
