For a qualified joiner who wants to keep working with their hands at a premium level, this permanent role is a chance to build a long-term career at the bench. A premium bespoke joinery business, serving clients in the south of New Zealand's South Island for more than 30 years, is recruiting an experienced Joiner following a recent retirement. Queenstown is the nearest main centre.
Craft takes up most of the week, from constructing high-end joinery items and household cabinetry, interpreting technical drawings and documents, and planning each project so issues are resolved and delivery stays on time. Installation is a smaller part of the job. Hours are 40-44 per week, full-time.
Candidates need a trade qualification, with kitchen cabinetry as the minimum, or three years of proven joinery-associated experience. The company is an AEWV accredited employer and can sponsor the right international candidates into permanent employment in New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
- Construct high-end joinery items and household cabinetry to a premium standard
- Interpret technical drawings and documents and plan each project, resolving issues to keep delivery on time
- Carry out installation of joinery where needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification (kitchen cabinetry as a minimum) or three years' proven experience in joinery-associated work
- Capable of manufacturing household cabinetry to a very high standard
- Some proficiency in joinery installation
- Strong work ethic and excellent time management
- Effective communication with all other staff, with sound planning and problem-solving ability
