Shutdown work builds a broad record of plant and site experience, and this opening offers a run of it. An organisation delivering industrial engineering, fabrication, welding and maintenance services in Australia and internationally is recruiting multiple Coded Welders, Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers for ongoing shutdown and project assignments across Australia for the remainder of 2026. The role is listed in Perth.
The near-term schedule is precise. Central WA is set for 5 to 15 November 2026, South Australia for 4 November to 2 December 2026, and the Pilbara for 16 to 29 November 2026, with mobilisation in the coming weeks. Rotations are 10 to 12 hours, on days and nights, under several rosters.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute welding, cutting, grinding, gouging and forming work on metal in compliance with specified standards
- Deliver maintenance, repair and modification programmes for plant and equipment
- Machine metal components using lathes, milling machines and grinders
- Extend into further responsibilities aligned with your competencies, supported by training as needed
- Fulfil rostered day and night shutdown shifts of 10 to 12 hours
- Contribute to shutdown and project scopes at sites across Australia
Requirements & Eligibility
- Formal trade certificate that is Australian-recognised (where applicable)
- A demonstrated professional history in shutdowns
- Competence to pass a weld test (where applicable) and flexibility across various rosters
- A valid driver's licence
- Current Working in Confined Spaces ticket and Working at Heights ticket
- Fitness to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening, combined with a proactive, team-oriented approach and high safety standards
