Fleet servicing is a steady, skills-led corner of the New Zealand job market, and this Auckland post suits a diesel technician who wants to build a long-term career in it. Two mechanics are being sought by a business run by a family, which looks after commercial fleets from a modern workshop where safety sits at the front of every job.
The work covers trucks and trailers first, then buses and lighter commercial vehicles. Hours start at 40 a week, and a half-day on Saturday is rostered.
The employer holds Accredited Employer status and helps with visa transfers, so sponsorship is part of how it recruits migrating tradespeople.
