For an Enrolled Nurse building a long-term clinical career, this Perth position offers supervised practice in more than one care setting. You would deliver direct patient care, administer medications and contribute to care planning under Registered Nurse supervision, strengthening the clinical judgement and documentation habits that progression in nursing depends on.
The employer is a Western Australian owned healthcare company engaged in community nursing, in-home care and Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) services, which also provides nursing staff to residential aged care facilities and hospitals. Appointments are permanent and full-time, report to the Clinical Care Manager and involve placements in the Perth CBD and north and south of the river. Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and plan nursing care under the supervision of an RN
- Implement that nursing care under RN supervision
- Administer medications and monitor responses to treatment
- Assist with the coordination of patient care
- Assist with the evaluation of patient care
- Contribute to health education and to health promotion activities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with personal hygiene
- Support RNs in clinical procedures
- Support RNs in patient assessments
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Comply with Work Health and Safety legislation, maintain infection control standards and promptly report incidents and hazards
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration, current
- Nursing qualification relevant for an Enrolled Nurse
- Experience in home care and in community nursing
- Full-time relevant experience of minimum one year's duration
- Current National Criminal History Check
- Current Working with Children Check together with NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current Manual Handling Certificate and Infection Control certificate
- Valid driver's licence
- Vaccinations for influenza and COVID-19 that are current
