Construction · Queenstown, New Zealand · Full-Time · $30 - $40/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored · Applicants: Onshore applicants only
Civil and earthworks is a stable, skills-based career path in New Zealand, and this Queenstown role gives a machine operator room to build experience with a contractor that has 25 years behind it and has won awards.
Day to day you would move and compact earth and rock, fill and cart materials, then prepare and shape sites ahead of retaining walls and residential and commercial developments. The role is permanent, with consistent hours of a minimum of 30 and typically 50 a week.
The employer is an Immigration NZ accredited employer and can sponsor work visas. The role is open to applicants who are onshore as citizens, residents or holders of a current open work visa, and anyone not living in the area must be willing to move there before applying.
