Key Responsibilities
- Fit aluminium and CFC cladding to the outside of commercial buildings
- Prep wall and ceiling surfaces, internal and external, for the render and plaster coats; apply plaster, cement and render by trowel and hand tools after mixing
- Check that corners, angles, walls and ceilings are plumb, then straighten them
- Handle set-out, then framing and fixing
- Be across every part of the carpentry trade, including construction, installation and repair
- Work to quality standards and safety procedures, reporting hazards as they arise; measure on site and build to the plans
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Carpenter / Ceiling Fixer qualification or trade assistant experience, with ideally 3+ years in construction; applications from all candidates are considered
- Can prepare, level and straighten surfaces and finish them to trade standard
- Good grasp of construction standards and of the cladding scope of work; works well in a team or on their own
- Valid Class C driver's licence with own transport for tools; ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol and background check requirements if required
- Mandatory: construction white card. Desired: EWP and working at heights tickets
