This Customer Service / Groomer position in Queenstown, New Zealand, combines commercial customer handling with operational discipline. Based at a vehicle rental branch, it covers the full hire cycle, from the first phone enquiry, advice and quotation to the contract, and then the grooming of the vehicle itself, meaning the cleaning and preparation of fleet vehicles.
The client base spans business, commercial and recreational travellers. Within a small, hardworking team you would contribute across all areas of branch operations.
Employment is permanent and full time at 40 hours per week on a rostered pattern, and the branch's trading hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm across the working week with a shorter Saturday ending at 1.00pm. The employer holds Accredited Employer status with Immigration NZ. Its stated preference is, ideally, to recruit suitable and available NZ workers, and visa sponsorship of candidates who require a work visa can be considered where no such appointment is made.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to telephone enquiries
- Deliver sales advice and issue quotes
- Generate contracts
- Complete customer transactions
- Coordinate vehicle deliveries and pick-ups, and perform them
- Administer the office and maintain customer accounts
- Maintain the grooming of the branch's vehicle and rental fleet at the highest standards
- Ensure that all necessary compliance checks are performed
- Assist in identifying repair and maintenance issues and escalating them
- Manage damages and maintenance as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence; an overseas equivalent is acceptable
- Computer proficiency at basic to intermediate level, with great attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Prior customer-facing service experience, ideally within the vehicle rental industry (not essential)
- Grooming experience is preferred, although not essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including a confident phone manner
