For a care professional planning a long-term career in New Zealand, this permanent Caregiver role at a Christchurch dementia care home is a structured starting point. Key Responsibilities
- Delivering holistic personal care, from showering and dressing to eating, mobility and communication, in a culturally safe manner
- Contributing to care plans and implementing therapy plans for residents with dementia
- Assessing and reporting resident progress, escalating any change in condition or care concern promptly, and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting registered nurses within their scope of practice
