Care professionals with a Level 4 or above qualification directly relevant to caregiving, or a Registered Nursing degree, can treat this Blenheim role as a credible next career step. The provider specialises in aged and dementia care and is known for innovative approaches to care, so dementia practice sits at the centre of the work at its rest home. The position is permanent and full-time, at least 30 hours a week.
Progression is visible in the pay structure. The hourly rate rises from $23.95 at Level 1 to $24.06 at Level 2, $26.16 at Level 3 and $28.25 at Level 4 and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering effective, holistic, culturally safe personal care, including showering and dressing
- Assisting residents with eating, mobility and communication
- Contributing to care planning and implementing therapy plans for people living with dementia
- Monitoring and reporting resident progress, escalating changes in condition or concerns about care promptly
- Maintaining accurate, appropriate and current resident records
- Supporting registered nurses within their scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- A sincere commitment to making a positive difference to elderly people, matched by a passion for aged care
- Capacity to work any shift on a 24/7 roster
- Prior caregiving experience preferred; experience in dementia care would be a strong advantage
- For visa support: a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 4 or above caregiving qualification with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
