Key Responsibilities
- Implement each person's person-centred and individual plan, taking responsibility for scheduled activities
- Coordinate and lead outings and leisure programmes
- Promote self-determination, personal interests and friendships
- Provide home-based domestic support as each plan specifies
- Provide personal care as each plan specifies
- Complete timely reports and documentation and keep the coordinator informed while maintaining confidentiality
- Uphold workplace safety for yourself and others
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current First Aid Certificate and current Working with Children Check
- Current WA C-class driver's licence
- Understanding of the needs of people with physical and intellectual disabilities, with a positive attitude towards them
- Problem-solving capability and resilience under pressure, plus communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Organisational skills, including workload prioritisation to meet deadlines
- Prior experience working with people with disability is desirable
