Working as part of a dedicated clinical team in a modern aged care environment, you will provide person-centred care, support the health and wellbeing of residents and lead care staff. For nurses from India and other countries, the role combines clinical responsibility with leadership experience that supports long-term professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor, supervise and lead nursing and personal care teams, including support for Graduate Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers in daily practice
- Deliver evidence-based, high-quality nursing care and administer medications and clinical treatments safely and accurately
- Assess and monitor residents' health, responding to any changes in their condition
- Develop, implement and review personalised care plans
- Collaborate with medical practitioners, allied health professionals and families
- Maintain accurate resident records and clinical documentation
- Champion best practice in infection prevention and clinical governance while ensuring compliance with aged care standards and professional nursing requirements
- Contribute to facility-wide quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in mandatory training and ongoing education
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current unrestricted AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
- Bachelor of Nursing qualification
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Residential aged care experience is highly regarded
- Well-developed clinical assessment and care planning capability
- Knowledge of infection control practices and Australian aged care standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Effective teamwork skills
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
- Current COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations as required by the employer
- Commitment to resident-focused, ethical and compassionate care
