For tradespeople building a career in vehicle fit-out, this Auckland contract offers focused experience in a specialist niche. An established campervan conversion company is recruiting an entry- to mid-level Campervan Builder for a 9-week full-time engagement, beginning immediately and running Tuesday to Saturday until the Christmas close-down on 23 December.
The work spans the full interior build: cabinetry and furniture, linings, flooring and finishing, window and roof-vent installation, and assisting on 12V electrical and plumbing systems, all delivered to drawings, templates and specifications. It is solid exposure to custom builds, rental fleets and commercial projects.
Backpackers, temporary workers and working holiday visa holders are welcome. Looking further ahead, the contract has genuine potential to become an ongoing full-time position, and in that scenario visa sponsorship is possible for the right person; it does not come with the contract itself.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and install campervan cabinetry and bespoke furniture

Requirements & Eligibility
- Ideally, prior experience in cabinetry, joinery or furniture making
- Exposure to 12V electrical, or to campervan, caravan or RV manufacturing, is an advantage, though not essential
- A practical, hands-on approach combined with a commitment to learning
- Reliability and punctuality
- Able to commit to a Tuesday to Saturday schedule
