Key Responsibilities
- Behaviour support: help people with complex behavioural and medical needs manage overwhelming emotions and health-related challenges, while promoting safety and positive behaviour.
- Independence: coach individuals in daily living skills and assist, according to ability, with transportation, employment, finances, meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, showering and medication administration.
- Risk: manage risk and respond effectively to challenging situations.
- Rostering: cover daytime, evening, overnight and weekend shifts.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in the management of challenging behaviours, preferred.
- Ability to navigate behaviours that can challenge.
- Flexible shift availability covering weekends and wakeover shifts.
- Daily proficiency and comfort with computers and tablets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support, and a Full NZ driver's license.
