Put proven automotive expertise to work in a professional workshop in Ipswich, near Brisbane. The business is recruiting an experienced Wheel Aligner/ Tyre Fitter with genuine hands-on capability in tyre fitting, wheel alignment and general automotive servicing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake light and medium automotive servicing and maintenance
  • Conduct wheel alignment checks and adjustments on passenger vehicles and 4WDs
  • Fit tyres across passenger, commercial and 4WD vehicles, on both standard and aftermarket wheels
  • Examine tyres, wheels and related components, diagnosing and resolving tyre and wheel issues
  • Deliver workshop jobs efficiently to quality standards, meeting workshop KPIs and agreed completion times
  • Apply safe operating procedures and workshop safety requirements with accurate, professional workmanship throughout
  • Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and well organised
  • Work autonomously and take accountability for completed work
  • Assist colleagues with general workshop activities when required
  • Communicate professionally with customers and the wider team

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Certificate III in Automotive, or an equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated, verifiable experience in the automotive industry
  • Hands-on tyre fitting and wheel alignment experience covering passenger, commercial and 4WD tyres and the fitting of tyres to aftermarket wheels
  • Working knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance
  • Capacity to demonstrate genuine technical skills and earlier workshop experience
  • Physical capability to handle and lift tyres
  • Firm focus on safety, accuracy and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks
  • A reliable, punctual and professional approach supported by strong communication and teamwork
  • Sound time management, the ability to meet deadlines and to perform well in a busy workshop setting
  • Current manual driver's licence held
  • Sponsorship available for suitably qualified candidates with the required experience
