The company is recruiting experienced First-Class Welder/Fabricators capable of precise, reliable fabrication in a professional workshop. Emphasis is on demonstrable trade experience, relevant qualifications and consistent output to engineering standards. Expect varied projects in which your welding and fabrication expertise goes into manufacturing and assembling quality engineered components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with other trades and workshop personnel to meet project requirements, while managing assigned workshop tasks independently and efficiently
  • Interpret technical drawings, plans and fabrication specifications and complete all fabrication and welding to engineering requirements
  • Measure, mark, cut, prepare and assemble materials with accuracy, then fit and align components ahead of final welding
  • Execute MIG, TIG and Stick welding across diverse applications and positions
  • Deliver clean, consistent, structurally sound welds while holding accurate dimensions and tolerances
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality and compliance, and diagnose and resolve fabrication, fit-up or welding issues
  • Safely use the workshop's machinery, tools and welding equipment
  • Uphold high standards of workmanship and productivity
  • Comply with workplace health, safety and quality procedures and maintain an orderly, professional work area
  • Work overtime as required, including Saturdays

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Recognised qualification in Welding, Boilermaking or Fabrication, with the capacity to provide evidence of relevant qualifications and employment experience
  • Demonstrated background as a First-Class Welder/Fabricator, including strong hands-on experience in an engineering or heavy fabrication workshop
  • Practical capability in MIG, TIG and Stick welding, including confident welding in multiple positions
  • Proven competence in reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • Strong skill set across fabrication, fitting and assembly
  • Capacity to work accurately under minimal supervision, backed by demonstrated commitment to quality and precision
  • Good communication abilities and a team-oriented approach
  • Reliable attendance, a strong professional work ethic, and the ability and willingness to work regular overtime
  • Commitment to upholding Australian workplace health and safety standards
  • Sponsorship may be available to suitably qualified and experienced candidates satisfying applicable visa and sponsorship requirements
