Key Responsibilities
- Operations leadership: supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations and lead, motivate and support warehouse staff
- Inbound and outbound flow: coordinate receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, deliveries and customer collections, including incoming shipments, internal stock transfers and container processing
- Order fulfilment: process customer orders accurately within required timeframes, coordinate delivery and collection schedules, and monitor DIFOT and overall order performance
- Inventory control: monitor stock levels, maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse systems, run cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
- Storage standards: ensure correct stock rotation and safe storage, and keep the warehouse efficient, clean and well organised
- Process compliance: ensure procedures and standard operating processes are followed and support compliance requirements and operational certifications
- Health and safety: promote and monitor workplace health and safety standards
- Workforce planning: coordinate staffing requirements and temporary labour when required, and support the Warehouse Manager with operational planning and staffing
- Assets: assist with servicing and certification of vehicles, machinery and equipment, keeping them and company property in safe condition
- Administration: complete operational paperwork, timesheets, reports and compliance documentation
- Continuous improvement: identify process improvements and introduce practical initiatives to raise efficiency and productivity
- Customer and culture: work with the wider operations team to improve customer experience and encourage accountability, teamwork and a positive workplace culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Supply chain background: demonstrated experience in warehouse supervision, logistics, distribution or supply chain operations
- People leadership: previous experience leading or coordinating warehouse employees and the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Inventory expertise: practical stock control and inventory management knowledge, plus experience with inventory or warehouse management systems
- Order handling: experience managing customer orders, dispatch, deliveries or collections, with a customer-focused approach
- Safety and environment: understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures and confidence in a hands-on warehouse setting
- Organisation: strong organisational and time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities
- Communication: good written and verbal communication skills
- Precision and judgement: strong attention to detail and accuracy, and good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Mindset: a proactive approach to operational improvements, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Verification: ability to provide genuine and verifiable details of previous employment and relevant experience
