Underground Electrician

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose electrical faults through inspections and testing, then implement effective repairs
Maintain and repair underground electrical systems and equipment while supporting underground production and maintenance activities
Deliver scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns and operational issues
Ensure electrical systems and equipment perform safely and reliably
Apply site electrical procedures and safety requirements, completing isolation and electrical safety processes where required
Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation
Collaborate with other trades and operational personnel
Engage in training, mentoring and professional development
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stronger equipment reliability

Requirements & Eligibility

Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification, together with a current A Grade Western Australian Electrical Licence
At least 3 years' background in the electrical industry
Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
Strong safety awareness backed by a professional work ethic
Capacity to work 12-hour shifts and willingness to follow a 7/7 or 2/2 roster
Mining exposure is desirable; underground mining experience is advantageous
An HV Switching ticket is desirable
Working at Heights certification is desirable
A High Risk Work Licence is desirable
