The role suits experienced Class 5 Truck Drivers who are confident operating truck and trailer or articulated units, transporting aggregate and machinery, and working safely in and around active civil sites.

Key Responsibilities

Pilot Class 5 trucks on civil and infrastructure work, running truck and trailer or articulated configurations with road ranger or automatic gearboxes
Cart aggregate and chip seal from quarries to work sites and between sites, and relocate heavy machinery and equipment
Carry out tipping, spreading and jack-knifing
Load and self-load material using appropriate gear
Run excavators, loaders, rollers or comparable plant as required, backing up civil crews on site
Undertake routine checks on vehicles and equipment
Restrain and manage every load safely
Work within workplace health and safety and transport regulations

Requirements & Eligibility

Full Class 5 Driver Licence
WTR Endorsement
A demonstrated background behind the wheel of heavy vehicles
Proven capability with truck and trailer or articulated units
Competence with road ranger or automatic gearboxes
Prior work in civil transport or aggregate cartage
A history of hauling heavy machinery
Tip, spread and jack-knife capability preferred
Hands-on civil equipment operation preferred
Capacity to evidence work experience that is genuine and verifiable
A firm commitment to safe driving and site practices, plus readiness to pitch in with hands-on site duties
Availability for day shifts from Monday to Friday, with flexibility to cover occasional Saturdays
