Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Thai cuisine, including curries, stir-fries and soups as well as salads and entrees
- Uphold restaurant standards for quality, taste and presentation across all dishes
- Manage daily kitchen operations such as food preparation and storage
- Ensure hygiene compliance and adherence to all food safety and health regulations, and maintain kitchen cleanliness
- Assist in menu planning
- Assist with portion control and with stock management
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and provide training as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant work experience of a minimum of two (2) years as a Thai Chef, or a relevant qualification in commercial cookery
- Proven experience in cooking authentic Thai cuisine, together with strong knowledge of Thai ingredients, herbs and cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
