Key Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering, project management and field colleagues so each project is delivered successfully
- Lead hands-on RF and transmission integration on infrastructure builds, taking each site through commissioning, testing and final network acceptance
- Fit, set up and bring into service antennas, radios, transmission systems, microwave links, feeders, outdoor cabinets and related hardware
- Contribute to tower upgrade programmes, new equipment fit-outs, structural modifications and wider infrastructure expansion
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems that surface while installing, commissioning or integrating network equipment, then record outcomes in commissioning reports, test records and carrier sign-off documents prepared to the standard the industry requires
- Uphold health and safety procedures, permit conditions, risk controls and quality assurance obligations on every site
- Travel to city, regional and remote project locations around Australia whenever the work calls for it
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current Intermediate or Advanced Rigging qualification
- Current certifications in Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and First Aid
- Proven experience as a Telecommunications Field Engineer with deep RF and transmission integration expertise
- A history of commissioning telecommunications equipment and finalising carrier acceptance paperwork
- Background in tower, structural steel installation or infrastructure upgrade work in telecommunications
- Capacity to travel extensively throughout Australia, regional and remote project locations included
- Current driver's licence, with additional heavy vehicle licences or relevant industry tickets considered advantageous
- Strong command of safety, quality and Australian telecommunications industry standards, supported by excellent troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills
- Suitably qualified overseas applicants meeting Australian migration requirements are eligible for employer sponsorship
