Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with nursing and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care
- Lead safe, respectful and person-centred care shaped around residents' individual needs, preferences and goals
- Supervise, mentor and support care staff throughout allocated shifts
- Coordinate resident care within the assigned area
- Promote residents' physical, emotional and social wellbeing
- Administer and support medication-related activities within the authorised scope of practice
- Oversee nutrition and hydration requirements and participate in pressure care management and other clinical care
- Maintain accurate care documentation using relevant workplace systems and technology
- Champion clear, effective communication across the care team
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and uphold high infection prevention and control standards
- Contribute to a supportive, professional and resident-focused workplace culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
- Diploma of Enrolled Nursing or equivalent recognised qualification, supported by evidence of qualifications and registration
- Authorisation to administer medication within the relevant professional scope
- Current National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
- Demonstrated integrity, reliability and professional accountability
- Strong communication and interpersonal capability
- Capacity to supervise, guide and support other care staff
- Dedication to compassionate and person-centred aged care
- Working knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures and an understanding of occupational health and safety practices
- Confidence using relevant technology and workplace information systems, and willingness to pursue ongoing professional learning
- Previous residential aged care experience will be highly regarded
