For a chef specialising in Indian and tandoor cooking, this Sydney role offers a clear step up in responsibility. An established hospitality group is appointing a Tandoori and Curry Chef to run its tandoor section within a professional, high-volume kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
- Run the Tandoor section and manage its output
- Produce naan, roti, kebabs, tikka and other tandoori dishes alongside a wide range of authentic and contemporary Indian curries
- Prepare marinades, gravies, sauces, stocks and mise en place to a consistent standard
- Maintain portion control, presentation and consistency, working efficiently in high-volume service
- Uphold food safety and kitchen hygiene, control wastage and assist with stock management
- Contribute to menu development and new dishes, and train and support junior kitchen staff
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 5 years' relevant professional experience
- Strong track record on the Tandoor and Curry sections
- Excellent knowledge of Indian spices, marinades and cooking techniques
- Experience within a busy, high-volume restaurant
- Strong knife and preparation skills
- Maintains quality and consistency under pressure
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Reliable, professional attitude, with strong teamwork and communication
- Availability for evenings and weekends as required
