Partnering with the Head Chef, you will help deliver high-quality café and event dining, upholding food quality, kitchen efficiency and food safety standards. Service runs during the day with occasional functions and events, giving you an excellent work-life balance while you build your skills. Key Responsibilities

Contribute to menu planning and development in partnership with the Head Chef, and modify dishes for dietary requirements and customer preferences
Produce high-quality meals in line with recipes and presentation standards
Support both café operations and function catering
Oversee stock levels, assist with inventory management and limit food waste through effective kitchen practices
Uphold strong standards of food quality, hygiene and cleanliness
Apply HACCP principles and food safety procedures consistently
Meet workplace health and safety requirements
Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues and contribute to a positive, professional team environment
Keep the kitchen running efficiently through peak service periods
Deliver consistency in how food is prepared and presented

Requirements & Eligibility

In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures, plus menu planning and food preparation experience
Diploma of Hospitality or a higher-level qualification
Minimum 1.5 years of professional experience as a Chef within a commercial kitchen
Background working under a Head Chef's supervision
Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality and consistency
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Strong organisation and time management capabilities
Flexibility to work weekends and extra hours during peak periods
