Working alongside the Head Chef, you will contribute across kitchen operations, food quality, team leadership, stock management and menu development. The venue seeks a chef who can demonstrate real-world capability, take responsibility during service and support team performance while delivering quality food consistently in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Head Chef on daily kitchen leadership and operations, taking responsibility for kitchen performance at peak service
- Develop junior and senior kitchen team members through leadership, guidance and mentoring
- Produce dishes of consistently high quality, upholding presentation, portion control and recipe standards
- Organise preparation to drive efficient service
- Contribute to ordering and supplier management, track stock levels and support inventory management
- Manage food costs and minimise avoidable wastage
- Safeguard food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Offer input on menu development and seasonal offerings, and help execute modern classics, premium proteins, seafood and pub-style dishes consistently
- Collaborate with management and front-of-house teams to foster a professional, respectful and productive kitchen culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience as a Sous Chef or experienced senior chef, built on a strong background in a high-volume pub, bistro, restaurant or comparable kitchen
- Proven practical skill in cooking and preparing food, with strong knowledge of food quality, presentation and consistency
- Demonstrated ability to lead a kitchen team in busy services, supported by strong communication and team leadership skills
- Experience managing stock control, ordering, food costing and wastage
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Efficiency under pressure and a reliable, professional attitude towards kitchen responsibilities
- Ability to demonstrate and verify genuine culinary employment experience; candidates with documented and verifiable chef experience are encouraged to apply
