Key Responsibilities

Monitor engineering quality, compliance and overall project performance, ensuring electrical engineering requirements are met through delivery
Provide technical leadership on electrical rolling stock engineering projects
Critically review technical submissions, overhaul documentation and engineering designs
Coordinate engineering activities across contractors, project managers, technical specialists, maintenance teams, suppliers and operational stakeholders
Support fleet modification, refurbishment and reliability improvement programs, as well as continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety and asset reliability
Conduct engineering inspections and lead testing, commissioning and acceptance activities
Prepare specifications, scopes of work, procedures and technical reports
Investigate equipment faults and develop practical engineering solutions
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholder groups

Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Extensive electrical engineering experience within the rolling stock or rail vehicle sector
Strong knowledge of electrical system modifications and upgrades
Strong familiarity with overhaul programs
Proven experience leading investigations, testing and commissioning in an engineering context
Ability to develop engineering specifications, scopes of work and technical documentation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Current unrestricted driver's licence
