Key Responsibilities

Read and apply construction drawings, specifications and site requirements
Calculate the materials required from drawings and site conditions
Deliver commercial roofing installations and associated construction work
Install roofing materials precisely to each project's specifications
Apply your skills across modern roofing, cladding and architectural systems
Measure and cut material for roof penetrations, vents, corners, ridges and remaining areas
Fit and fix edge and ridge flashings
Position waterproof sheets and roofing underlay correctly, securing underlay with the appropriate fixing method
Set out starter sheets in accurate alignment prior to installation
Secure roofing sheets firmly while keeping overlaps correct
Uphold consistent standards of workmanship and finish
Review completed work and rectify installation issues where needed
Recognise hazards, comply with site safety procedures and operate tools, equipment and materials safely
Partner effectively with supervisors and the wider construction team
Travel to project locations when required
Contribute to a professional, organised and safety-conscious working environment

Requirements & Eligibility

Preferred: a proven background in roofing
Overseas Roofers who bring experience may be considered for sponsorship
A track record in commercial roofing or cladding work is highly regarded
Candidates from wider construction with transferable trade skills may be considered
Capability to measure, cut and install roofing materials accurately
Competence in interpreting construction drawings and specifications
Working knowledge of construction site safety in practice
Meticulous attention to detail combined with a quality-focused approach
Sound practical and problem-solving capability
Effective in a team environment, with a dependable and committed work approach
Physical capacity for roofing and construction duties
Commitment to learning new roofing and cladding techniques
Flexibility to travel between project sites as required
