Exceptional service is a commercial lever, and this role is built around that idea. A quality hospitality venue in Australia is recruiting an experienced Restaurant Manager to act as a highly visible floor leader, shaping guest experience, front-of-house performance and revenue.

Success is measured clearly: helping increase restaurant sales by approximately 15–20% within the first three months. The schedule is consistent evening work from 4:00pm to 9:30pm, supporting good work-life balance, and depending on experience and performance there may be a pathway into a full-time position. Key Responsibilities

  • Direct front-of-house operations for smooth evening service while setting consistently high standards of customer care
  • Remain approachable and highly visible throughout service, welcoming customers and creating a positive first impression
  • Cultivate genuine relationships with regular guests to grow repeat business and loyalty
  • Shape an engaging atmosphere that encourages guests to return
  • Motivate, coach and lead front-of-house employees, setting a strong example through hands-on, professional leadership
  • Identify ways to improve the customer journey
  • Recognise appropriate upselling opportunities and contribute to the targeted 15–20% increase in restaurant sales
  • Review customer feedback, respond professionally to concerns and identify operational and service improvements
  • Encourage staff ownership of customer satisfaction while supporting a performance-focused, energetic and positive culture
  • Take initiative and act on opportunities without constant supervision
  • Assist in upholding strong service and presentation standards across the venue

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Proven track record as a Restaurant Manager or in a senior hospitality management position
  • A strong grounding in customer-facing hospitality operations
  • A personality that is naturally approachable, friendly and warm
  • An engaging, confident communication style and excellent spoken English
  • Personal presentation that is professional
  • Strong ability to build customer relationships, remember preferences and develop repeat relationships
  • Genuine enjoyment of speaking to and interacting with customers
  • Demonstrated team management and leadership skills
  • Commercial awareness backed by an understanding of restaurant sales
  • Confidence in upselling and lifting average customer spend
  • A practical, hands-on approach to restaurant management
  • Effective in fast-paced hospitality environments
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving and initiative
  • Availability for 4:00pm to 9:30pm shifts
  • Australian work rights or eligibility for employer sponsorship, plus the ability to meet applicable Australian immigration and sponsorship requirements
