Key Responsibilities
- Lead assigned construction activities and answer for their outcomes
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and specialist trades
- Direct daily site activities and monitor progress on the ground
- Contribute to project programming, scheduling and cost control
- Manage interfaces across civil, marine, structural and public realm construction
- Oversee specialist packages including piling, fender systems and revetments
- Manage drainage, landscaping and related civil works
- Assess construction requirements, develop practical delivery solutions and pinpoint improvements to constructability, efficiency and project outcomes
- Maintain quality documentation, ITPs, HIRACs and inspection records, alongside accurate project records and construction progress reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements
- Act as the link with clients, consultants, contractors and other relevant stakeholders
- Mentor and support graduate and junior engineering staff
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Project Engineer level: 2–4 years in civil or marine construction
- Senior Project Engineer positions: relevant senior-level experience in construction and project delivery
- Previous site-based engineering experience preferred
- A demonstrated track record coordinating subcontractors and construction teams
- Working knowledge of project scheduling, cost management and quality assurance
- Strong stakeholder management and communication capability
- Good documentation and organisational skills
- Capacity to interpret construction requirements and resolve practical site issues
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- A proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and work effectively within multidisciplinary construction teams
- Genuine interest in delivering major infrastructure and community-focused projects
