Key Responsibilities
- Study building plans, technical drawings and specifications so each installation is precise
- Handle new plumbing work and ongoing upkeep for homes as well as commercial sites
- Fit hot and cold water supply, sanitary systems and fixtures, together with valves, pumps, piping and the controls that run them
- Take on hydronic heating work, such as pipe runs for underfloor heating and related heating parts, plus the fitting, replacement and commissioning of hot water cylinders and heat pump water heaters
- Assist on technical heating jobs and HVAC-related plumbing installations
- Measure up, cut, prepare and join pipe using sound trade methods
- Commission systems and verify them through pressure tests and performance checks
- Trace faults, carry out repairs and resolve plumbing problems effectively
- Keep every site tidy and professional while meeting health and safety standards
- Coordinate with builders, technicians and fellow tradespeople, and look after company tools, equipment and resources
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised qualification in plumbing, backed by relevant experience in the industry
- New Zealand plumbing registration held, or eligibility to achieve registration
- Minimum three years' experience installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing
- A track record on both commercial and residential jobs
- Exposure to HVAC plumbing, underfloor heating or hydronic heating systems is advantageous
- Competence in reading plans, technical drawings and project requirements
- Sharp technical troubleshooting with close attention to detail
- Dedication to dependable service and first-rate workmanship
- Clear communication
- Capacity to collaborate within a professional team
- Valid driver licence held, or willingness to obtain one
- Records available to verify your qualifications, work history and trade experience
