Key Responsibilities

Evaluate collision and body damage and determine suitable repair and restoration procedures
Strip damaged panels, components and body parts, and repair or replace panels as required
Straighten, align and restore vehicle body structures
Perform welding and metalworking using specialist panel repair tools and workshop equipment
Coordinate completed repairs with mechanics and spray painters
Inspect finished work for accuracy, safety and quality of finish
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop
Adhere to all relevant workplace health and safety procedures

Requirements & Eligibility

Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent, with a minimum 5 years of relevant panel beating experience
Strong practical command of automotive body repair techniques
Hands-on use of professional panel beating and repair equipment, plus the capacity to diagnose damage and choose suitable repair methods
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality outcomes
Good communication, effective teamwork and efficiency within workshop timeframes
Valid driver's licence
Qualifications and employment history that can be verified
