Key Responsibilities
- Oversee every aspect of daily motel operations, bringing front office, housekeeping, maintenance and guest service functions together
- Provide hands-on leadership: train, roster and supervise the team while fostering a professional and positive working culture
- Uphold strong standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest care, resolving enquiries, complaints and operational problems without delay
- Keep watch on occupancy, bookings, revenue and wider business results, and keep financial, operational and guest records precise
- Contribute to budgets, financial controls and cost management, and pinpoint practical gains in profitability and efficiency
- Schedule upkeep, repairs and facility upgrades, and oversee relationships with suppliers, contractors and service providers
- Design initiatives that increase bookings, guest satisfaction and the motel's market visibility
- Ensure the property complies with workplace, health, safety, hygiene and hospitality obligations
- Act as the motel's professional face with local businesses and tourism bodies, and continuously assess operations to introduce improvements as needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience in motel, hotel or accommodation management, supported by a verifiable hospitality operations and management background
- Proven capability to lead, train and manage a hospitality team, with a strong understanding of guest service and accommodation operations
- Practical experience with revenue monitoring, budgeting and cost control, as well as hotel management systems and point-of-sale software
- Strong customer service, conflict-resolution, communication and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to take ownership of operational matters and reach decisions independently
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the capacity to juggle multiple responsibilities in a busy hospitality environment
- Relevant hospitality qualifications are advantageous, while fluent Mandarin or other additional language skills will be highly regarded
- Readiness to work flexible hours, weekends and public holidays included
