For qualified mechanics seeking a role that values technical depth, this position in Western Australia offers exposure well beyond a conventional workshop. You will join a specialised maintenance environment servicing fleet vehicles and the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) behind aviation operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, diesel and hydraulic systems, then complete repairs based on accurate fault-finding
- Service, inspect and maintain fleet vehicles, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and other specialised mechanical equipment and fleet assets
- Deliver scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective repairs, and attend breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements
- Evaluate equipment condition to identify emerging mechanical problems, completing all repairs in line with safety and quality standards
- Maintain precise service and maintenance documentation and report completed work, faults and additional repair needs
- Operate independently while communicating effectively with the broader team and supporting colleagues during breakdowns, servicing and repairs
- Keep tools and equipment safe and serviceable
- Adhere to workplace, operational and specialised aviation safety procedures
- Represent the organisation professionally in dealings with clients and site personnel
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Approximately 5 years or more of relevant industry experience is preferred, with demonstrated hands-on mechanical experience on light or heavy vehicles
- A current HR Driver’s Licence
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability, backed by genuine practical trade experience you can demonstrate
- A reliable, professional work ethic with a strong focus on safety and quality
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to obtain a Police Clearance and an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), and to successfully complete drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to work within a specialised, safety-critical operating environment
- Heavy equipment or fleet maintenance experience is advantageous
- Diesel mechanical experience is advantageous; hydraulic systems experience is likewise an advantage
- Experience in breakdown maintenance (advantageous), welding skills (an advantage) and Ground Support Equipment or aviation-sector exposure (advantageous)
