Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair light vehicles, heavy vehicles and specialised GSE used in aviation support operations
Conduct thorough inspections to identify faults and diagnose mechanical, diesel and hydraulic issues
Carry out planned services and preventative upkeep on schedule
Attend breakdowns, drawing on practical diagnostic know-how to choose the most efficient fix and bring equipment back into service
Observe the safety protocols set for controlled work areas
Keep precise records, documenting faults, repairs and service activities through the required systems
Collaborate with mechanics, supervisors and clients
Represent the business to a professional standard
Ensure tools, equipment and work areas remain organised and compliant with safety requirements

Requirements & Eligibility

Relevant trade qualification in Light Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanics
Minimum 5 years of relevant practical mechanical experience preferred
Demonstrated experience across light vehicles, heavy vehicles or heavy equipment, backed by strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capability
Genuine, verifiable trade experience supported by qualification and employment documentation
Sound knowledge of workplace safety and maintenance procedures
Capacity to work autonomously and add value to a team
Current HR Driver Licence
Diesel and hydraulic experience is advantageous, and breakdown maintenance experience is also advantageous
Welding skills are advantageous; Ground Support Equipment or aviation experience is advantageous too
Eligibility to obtain a Police Clearance and an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Successful completion of the required drug and alcohol screening
Willingness to complete relevant identity, qualification and employment verification
