HR Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
- Process improvement: review HR processes, find efficiency and service-delivery gains, and develop resources, templates and systems that meet business needs
- Talent acquisition and onboarding: coordinate recruitment, candidate communication, interviews and employment documentation, then deliver an onboarding experience that gives new hires a positive start
- HR operations: support daily HR activity so people services run smoothly, and keep employee records, HR databases and confidential files accurate
- Employment documentation: prepare agreements, contract updates and HR correspondence
- Employee lifecycle: manage changes, transfers and exits
- Manager support: guide managers on HR queries, policies and workplace procedures
- Immigration support: assist with immigration and AEWV-related paperwork where needed
- Learning and engagement: coordinate training programmes, development activities and engagement initiatives, and promote a positive culture through effective communication and employee support
Requirements & Eligibility
- Academic background: a relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business, Management or an allied field, or equivalent HR experience
- Prior experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator or People & Culture Assistant role, or something comparable
- Working knowledge of HR processes, staff documentation and workplace practice
- Proficiency with HR software, databases and digital platforms
- Sound grasp of employment compliance obligations and HR best practices
- Prior exposure to immigration, visa or international recruitment processes is beneficial
- Well-developed planning, organisational and time-management abilities
- An excellent communicator, confident engaging across all levels of an organisation
- Discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive information
- A problem-solving mindset, eagerness to refine processes and systems, strong relationship-building skills and a genuine interest in supporting people
- Willingness to relocate and commit to a long-term HR career in Tauranga, New Zealand
