The search is for Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics with genuine hands-on experience, whether in workshop repairs or mobile field service. Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and technicians
- Carry out servicing, scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy commercial vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and diesel-related faults and complete repairs and fault-finding across heavy vehicle systems
- Inspect trucks, trailers and associated components using diagnostic equipment and mechanical testing procedures
- Perform breakdown repairs and corrective maintenance
- Service a range of customer fleets and truck brands
- Complete assignments in the workshop or in the field, as required
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Follow health, safety and quality procedures, and look after tools, equipment and service vehicles appropriately
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven, hands-on Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic experience
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology is essential
- Demonstrated capability across servicing, repair and diagnostics
- A genuine employment history in heavy vehicle mechanics that can be verified
- Ability to evidence relevant qualifications and work experience
- Current Australian driver's licence plus Australian working rights appropriate to the role
- Strong problem-solving skills for mechanical work
- Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
- Capable of working independently and within a technical team
- Willingness to work in either workshop or field service environments
