The work centres on a mixed Western Australian fleet, where you will be trusted to pinpoint faults, carry out repairs and keep every unit maintained to a professional standard.

Vehicle types range from buses, coaches and prime movers to light vehicles, cranes and small plant. Both FIFO and residential arrangements are offered, and 482 visa sponsorship is open to eligible candidates, an opening worth considering for qualified tradespeople from India and other countries.

Key Responsibilities

Keep a diverse heavy vehicle fleet in service, delivering preventative maintenance programs and inspecting each unit to identify upcoming work
Pinpoint mechanical faults, decide on the best repair approach and then carry out repairs and replace components
Handle diesel engines and wider heavy vehicle systems
Attend breakdowns and contribute to maintenance in the field
Uphold a high level of workmanship and safety
Work through allocated workshop and maintenance tasks efficiently
Adhere to operational, safety and compliance procedures

Requirements & Eligibility

Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Bus Mechanic, with relevant background on heavy vehicles or commercial fleets
Hands-on time with buses, coaches, trucks or comparable equipment
Sound capability in mechanical diagnosis and fault-finding
Comfortable across a varied mix of vehicles and in regional and remote WA environments
A dependable, adaptable, safety-conscious approach
Current driver's licence, with HR desirable
Capacity to satisfy the pre-employment medical as well as drug and alcohol screening requirements
